FREE Antivirus for All

BitDefender Free Edition is your chance to use one of the world’s most effective antivirus engines for free!
BitDefender Free Edition uses the same ICSA Labs certified scanning engines found in other BitDefender products, allowing you to enjoy basic virus protection for no cost at all.
BitDefender Free Edition is an on-demand virus scanner, which is best used in a system recovery or forensics role. If you are on an “always-on” Internet connection, we strongly advise you to consider using a more complex antivirus solution.

Virus scanning and removal
On demand scanning – Powerful scan engines ensure detection and removal of all viruses in the wild every time you need it.

Scheduled scanning
The Scheduler lets you plan ahead, and schedule full system/drive scans in the off hours, when you won’t be using your computer.

Immediate scanning
With just a right click you can check your files and folders.

Quarantine
By isolating the infected files in quarantine, the risk of getting infected diminishes. You also have the possibility to send these files for further analysis to BitDefender Labs.

Reports
When launching a scan you may choose to create a report file where you can see statistics about the scan process.

Ductile Iron Computer Programs

Mon ,07/09/2009

DIPRA has four free computer programs that are useful calculation tools for designing and specifying Ductile Iron pipe. Each of the computer programs is based upon a DIPRA brochure with a similar name. If you do not have copies of these brochures, you may download them at http://www.dipra.org/publications/. The four programs are:

  • Design of Ductile Iron Pipe on Supports
  • Hydraulic Analysis of Ductile Iron Pipe
  • Thickness Design of Ductile Iron Pipe
  • Thrust Restraint Design for Ductile Iron Pipe

DIPRA.EXE (1.3 MB – 11/01/2005)

The DIPRA Computer Programs are available as a downloadable installation file that contains all four of the DIPRA Computer Programs. To install the programs, please follow the procedures listed below.

  • Step 1: Save the file attachment to a temporary directory on your hard drive.
  • Step 2: Close any running programs, including your Internet browser and mail software (Note: although this step is actually optional, we suggest that you do close all open programs to prevent any conflicts from occurring).
  • Step 3: If you have previously installed versions of the DIPRA Computer Programs with a program diskette date prior to 12/11/98, we suggest that you manually remove (uninstall) them from your computer prior to installation of the updated programs to avoid confusion. The new programs cannot remove or overwrite software from an installation diskette dated 12/11/98 or earlier.
  • Step 4: From the Windows START button, select the RUN option. In the “Open” blank, please enter the location and name of the program as you saved it to your system (for example, if you saved the file into the “Windows” “Temp” directory on your “C” drive then you would enter “C:\Windows\Temp\dipra.exe” in the blank provided). Press the “OK” button.
  • Step 5: Follow the onscreen installation instructions to complete the installation of the programs.
  • Step 6: View or print the program documentation.  The directory into which you chose to install the programs (by default “C:\DIPRA”) will contain the documentation as an Adobe Acrobat “pdf” document (progdoc.pdf).

If you encounter any problems with the installation or use of these programs, please contact Mark R. Breslin, P.E., DIPRA Staff Engineer, at 251-990-4984. Thank you for your interest in our programs and we hope that you find them to be useful tools.

NOTE 1: These programs have not been tested for use on Windows NT or other networked computer systems. If you install to a system of this type, we would appreciate hearing from you regarding the functionality of these programs.
